We are a young Croatian-Danish couple and creaters of this hygge outdoor blog. “Hygge” is a Danish word that represents a super enjoyable time. Whether it’s having dinner with friends, taking a walk with family, having cosy moments in nature or just enjoying each others company. Those moments Danes would describe as “hyggelige”. It’s top notch and yet so simple. If you want to understand better you can always buy the hygge-bible “The Little Book of Hygge”. That was one of the first gifts Tess bought for Lovre.

It felt logical to name our blog “hygge” because that is how it always feels when we explore the beauties of wonderful Croatia together. Croatians would say “Fucking mother this is good” (jebalo majko kako je ovo dobro), so it was a logical choice.

With Tess’s magical pen and writing talent she will try to get through your hearts with words, while on the other hand Lovre will be contributing with “a picture is worth a 1000 words” content.
